Former NBA guard Darius Morris, a standout star at the University of Michigan, has passed away at the age of 33. The tragic news sent shockwaves through the basketball community and left many mourning the loss of a promising talent.

Morris, a Los Angeles native, was a highly touted recruit coming out of high school. He committed to Michigan and quickly became a key player for the Wolverines. During his time in Ann Arbor, he averaged 13.6 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game. He led the team to the NCAA Tournament in his junior and senior seasons.

Morris was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft. He spent three seasons with the Lakers, appearing in 29 games. He also played for the Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers.
