German Defeats Jarry in Straight Sets

Rome, Italy - Alexander Zverev captured his second Rome Open title on Sunday, defeating Nicolas Jarry 6-4, 7-5 in the final. The victory marks Zverev's first ATP Masters 1000 title since Cincinnati in 2021.

Zverev dominated the match from the start, firing down 11 aces and winning 84% of his first serve points. The German broke Jarry's serve twice in the first set and once in the second set to secure the victory.

"I'm really happy with the win today," said Zverev. "I played a solid match and served very well. I'm looking forward to playing in the French Open next week."

With the win, Zverev improves to 25-10 on the season. He is now the top seed at the French Open, which begins on May 28th.
