RWE still without a home win: "The spark has to ignite"

Over 20,000 spectators in the stands, a committed team on the pitch - but still RWE is waiting for the first home win of the season.

After the 0:0 against Saarbrücken, coach Marcel Rapp analyzed and spoke about missing efficiency and a positive learning curve.

Disappointment prevails after the final whistle

The disappointment among the players and fans was clearly noticeable after the final whistle. "Of course, the frustration is great. We definitely wanted to win today," said captain Moritz Stoppelkamp.

Especially since the support from the stands was impressive. Over 20,000 spectators created a great atmosphere. "That was incredible. That's what makes football so much fun," praised Rapp.

RWE lacks efficiency in the final third

Despite the offensive efforts, RWE lacked efficiency in the final third. "We created chances, but we didn't take them. We should have scored with one or two," said Rapp.

Striker Simon Terodde also admitted: "We have to be more consistent in front of goal. We have to put the ball in the net mercilessly."

Positive learning curve despite the setbacks

Despite the setbacks, coach Rapp sees a positive learning curve. "The team is developing. You can see the progress in every game," he said.

"The spark has to ignite now. We need that first home win to gain confidence," said Rapp.
